Eaton Corporation appoints Craig A. Black vice president & chief technology officer

CLEVELAND, OHIO…Eaton Corporation (NYSE:ETN) today announced that Craig A. Black has been appointed vice president & chief technology officer, effective July 30, 2001. Black will lead the company's Innovation Center and be responsible for driving research and development synergies across Eaton's businesses. He succeeds Stanley V. Jaskolski, who retired from the company March 31, 2001. Black will report to Randy W. Carson, senior vice president and group executive and will be located at Eaton's Innovation Center in Southfield, Michigan.
