A comprehensive range of models is available offering flow rates in steps from 30 l/min to 250 l/min all with specially formulated diaphragm material for extended service life. Suited to intermittent or continuous duty use the enviro et series proves ideal for wastewater treatment and can be easily retro-fitted to current tank installations or cesspit conversions.

Charles Austen Pumps will also launch their new range of enviro etx pumps into Europe at the IFAT show. The new model offers true whisper quite operation and is the quietest linear pump in its class. Features include the addition of a clever safety trip which will stop the pump in even of a diaphragm failure avoiding damage to other parts. Four models are available the ETX60, ETX80, ETX150 and ETX200.

In addition to air pumps Charles Austen Pumps offer the enviro sw range of submersible water pumps which are designed for fitment inside a treatment tank. They feature the choice of stainless steel or plastic casing which is strike resistant and anti-corrosive even when used in salt water. Performance ranges from 2500 l/hr up to 20,000 l/hr and for applications that require the pump to start and stop automatically optional float switches are available. High quality resin on the windings ensures long life and that the unit is safe from electricity leakage. Application ideas include sewage aeration, sump emptying, water drainage, rain water harvesting and flood prevention.

Charles Austen pumps compliment the enviro range of pumps with an extensive stock of pumping accessories including manifolds, unex hose clips, diffusers and the patent pending envirosure alarm which meets the latest environmental legislation.

Charles Austen Pumps will be showing their range of enviro aeration pumps for waste water treatment at the forthcoming IFAT exhibition in Munich, Germany, hall no A5 stand no 103.

Can a repaired motor be more efficient?

20.01.2023 -

Against a backdrop of increasing energy costs, significant savings can be made by upgrading old motors to more efficient modern alternatives. However, simply swapping a motor for a modern equivalent is not always practical or even possible. With this in mind, Thomas Marks, General Manager and Secretary at the Association for Electrical and Mechanical Trades, looks at how a motor’s efficiency can be improved as part of a repair or refurbishment and highlights some things you should consider.
