Innovations and Trends at Wasser Berlin International 2017

Wasser Berlin International is kicking off the new year with an exclusive insight into the many innovations and evolutionary product developments which can be viewed directly on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 28 to 31 March 2017.

The first 28 product descriptions, complete with images, can be found online. Updates will be posted at regular intervals in the run-up to the trade fair. Texts and images can be easily downloaded and may be used free of charge for journalistic purposes. A printed overview will be available at the trade fair itself.

Wide-ranging innovations: from disaster assistance to environmental protection

More than 500 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will be making use of Wasser Berlin International 2017 to present their innovations to a global audience. The range of exhibits reflects the economic cycle of the water industry and includes water extraction, wastewater treatment, IT services as well as measuring, control and analysis systems. Among the products that trade visitors can examine will be the RPS® tubular diffusive sampler from GCI GmbH which allows the use of collector materials for monitoring the substances in water taken from a controlled sample flow.

At the trade show, taking the city of Cologne as an example, the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance will be explaining the concept of emergency water supplies. Chengdu Meifute Membrance Technology, a company from China, will be displaying its Super Module, an industrial water filter featuring nanofiltration and a reverse-osmosis membrane. The first Geonex drilling equipment to be set up in Central Europe is scheduled for 2017. Geonex Oy, a company from Finland, will be providing visitors to the trade show with detailed information. The most important innovation on the new AVNS tunnelling equipment from Herrenknecht is the machine’s new power supply and the incorporation of a jet pump as a discharge pump.

Instytut Ekologii Terenow Uprzemyslowionych从Poland is offering a new service for checking that innovative water technologies satisfy specified environmental requirements. And at Wasser Berlin International 2017 Invent Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG will be presenting its Alphameter system, a device for energy-efficient control of oxygen injection into an aeration tank.
