Paulo Ruiz Sternadt Named CEO for Dresser-Rand Business

Wilo, manufacturer of pumps and pump systems and Schneider Electric, active in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, announced that the companies have partnered to advance Wilo’s climate strategy in anticipation of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

ABB has appointed Maryrose Sylvester as Country Managing Director (CMD) and Head of Electrification for the United States, effective August 1, 2019. In the CMD role, she will succeed Greg Scheu, who will support a smooth transition until his retirement at the end of October 31, 2019.

Voith has been awarded a contract to equip the Australian pumped storage power station Snowy 2.0, one of the largest pumped storage basins worldwide, with electrical and mechanical power plant components. The Future Generation Joint Venture (a Joint Venture between Salini Impregilo, Clough and Lane) and the Heidenheim-based technology group signed the contract at beginning of April. Operator of the plant is Snowy Hydro Ltd.

Yaskawa Europe with headquarters in Eschborn near Frankfurt has entered the new fiscal year 2019 with a change of executive management. Effective March 1st 2019, Manfred Stern, President & CEO of Yaskawa Europe passes the operational leadership to Bruno Schnekenburger, presently COO of Yaskawa Europe and previously responsible for Yaskawa Europe’s robot division since 2014. Manfred Stern will continue in his assignment as regional Head of Yaskawa Europe.
