Prime Performance from New Dosing Pumps

28.10.2004

The Primeroyal dosing pumps range, successfully deployed on tough metering applications in the chemical and process industries, has recently been extended following the introduction of two new models, the Primeroyal L and N versions.

Available from MILTON ROY UK, these pumps are designed around the simple concept of a variable eccentric mechanism, ensuring very easy maintenance. Also, other design modifications ensure a more compact pump so it occupies a smaller footprint whilst also meeting the requirements of HPI, CPI, boiler feed water treatment and municipal water treatment markets.

These new models provide flow rates up to 4410 l/h at pressures to 500 bar for the L model, with flow rates up to 8929 l/h and pressures to 500 bar for the N version. The main material / hydraulic configurations for these pumps are 316 stainless steel, PVC, PVDF hydraulically actuated diaphragm liquid ends with a PTFE or stainless steel diaphragm.

Other features include; double diaphragm, diaphragm failure detection, cooling / heating jacket, food grade design, multiplexing and automation capability, which together ensure these new models meet the demands of a variety of applications.

Microencapsulation is becoming increasingly important in pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and agricultural industries. New dosage forms are emerging, the efficacy and tolerability of active substances is increasing, and the range of applications for approved substances is growing. Precise metering techniques in the low-volume range are a necessary prerequisite for the production and processing of APIs. Metering pumps by HNP Mikrosysteme are a suitable technical solution.
