Using Pumps Economically
Allweiler AG is organising a pump convention at its company premises on 12th October in Radolfzell at Lake Constance. The theme is the economical use of pumps and reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The central theme of the symposium is the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), which is becoming increasingly important for pumps. The costs for energy, maintenance and availability throughout the lifetime of a pump are around twice as high as the procurement costs. For this reason, Allweiler will be demonstrating methods and ways of permanently reducing these total costs on 12th October.

This will be followed by specialist talks on "Reducing total costs" taking account of construction methods, material selection, selection of the pump system, service and maintenance concepts. This will be illustrated with the help of successful practical examples from Siemens AG and R&M Industrieservice Höchst GmbH. A podium discussion with all speakers, headed by Rüdiger Nagel (chief editor "Delta P"), will round off the event in the afternoon.
In addition, Allweiler experts will provide visitors with individual advice if required. "At the Pump Convention 2006 you can speak to our specialists in person. They will show you how you can operate your pumps with lower running costs in future, for each application", says Dr. Ernst Raphael, member of the executive board. In addition to the talks, Allweiler will exhibit the most important pumps on the company's internal exhibition area and demonstrate their assembly and disassembly. Business visitors will also be able to participate in guided tours of the main plant in Radolfzell and take a look behind the scenes at the pump manufacturer's premises.
