ANDRITZ Receives Major Modernization Order for Jaguara Hydropower Plant, Brazil

International technology group ANDRITZ significantly increased revenue and earnings in the first half of 2023 compared to the first six months of the previous year despite the cooling global economy.

The KSB Group launched a new generation of pneumatic 90° quarter-turn actuators. The double-acting and single-acting pneumatic actuators of the ACTAIR EVO and DYNACTAIR EVO type series are designed for actuating all types of part-turn valves, such as butterfly valves, ball valves and plug valves.

Hydrogenerators convert mechanical energy generated by a turbine into electrical energy. The two most important components of hydrogenerators are a stator and a rotor. The principal component of a hydrogenerator is an exciter-regulator, which stabilizes and sets the output voltage.

GEA will invest around EUR 50 million in the modernization of its German centrifuge production facilities in Oelde (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Niederahr (Rhineland-Palatinate) by the end of 2024. The engineering group made the announcement at a press conference marking the 130th anniversary of GEA separation technology at its Oelde site.

International technology group ANDRITZ has started the 2023 business year with unchanged high growth dynamics despite a slowing global economy. Revenue and operating result both increased significantly by well over 20 percent in the first quarter of 2023 compared with the same period of the previous year.

IFAT, the environmental technology trade fair, is heading to South America next year for the first time, and will be staging IFAT Brasil in São Paulo from April 24 to 26. Brazil faces enormous problems, especially in the fields of drinking water treatment, and sewage and waste management.
