1. Background and Objectives
The Pump Station is located on a plateau at 900-meter elevation, in Kami-Ina County, Nagano Prefecture, which is also known for having a large number of paddy fields, vegetable gardens and orchards. The Pump Station is required to stably supply water to the farmland at a high altitude. Meanwhile, it also contributes to fire prevention, recharge of groundwater, and conservation of ecosystems.

The main agricultural-water facilities in this area were developed by the government around 1975. In recent years, the performance had declined and maintenance and management costs had increased as the facilities became older. Consequently, the state-owned facilities function maintenance project was launched in 2012 in order to maintain agricultural production and stable agricultural management in the future.

EBARA solves issues on water infrastructure, such as water supply, sewerage, and irrigation, by offering comprehensive engineering services, including proposal, design and procurement of pumps and other facilities, installation, construction, and after-sales service.

2. Overview
供给的泵站扮演重要的角色ing a large amount of water to the farmland during the irrigation season every year. The award recognizes EBARA's efforts over two years of construction while securing sufficient water supply to the fields, restoring pumping capacity by measuring the performance of existing pumps, and carrying out necessary maintenance.

3. Future Plan
EBARA's long-term vision, "E-Vision 2030," aims to "contribute to the creation of a sustainable society" by supporting "a friendly society to the earth, social infrastructures where people can have safe and secure lifestyles, and a world without shortage of food and water." EBARA supports to strengthen social infrastructure through development of pumps with enhanced flow capacity and the provision of services and equipment that are easy to maintain through our Social System Business.

The EBARA Group aims to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by tackling material issues identified in its long-term vision and implementing the medium-term management plan to increase corporate value.
