HI Introduces New Advanced Mechanical Seals Webinar Series

The Hydraulic Institute, in collaboration with Henri Azibert, Technical Director of the Fluid Sealing Association and associated HI committee members, has developed a new Advanced Mechanical Seals four-part webinar series focused on demystifying piping plans and support systems.

The Advanced Mechanical Seals webinar series provides an overview of the most common piping plans used today. In addition to outlining the pros and cons of over 15 different piping plans, this four-part webinar series discusses the auxiliary equipment, design considerations, operating parameters, installation, monitoring as well as troubleshooting associated with each. In cases where multiple options are available to the user, piping plan benefits and limitations are compared. Basic calculations for estimating the performance of piping plans as well as a spreadsheet to assist with evaluating systems also are featured in the online webinar. A Q&A session is conducted at the end of each section.

Henri Azibert, FSA Technical Director and Pump Industry Consultant remarks, “HI’s new Advanced Mechanical Seals Webinar series is the most comprehensive course available in the pumping industry. Engineers from a diverse array of industries will learn about the in-depth factors affecting seal performance, calculations associated with critical seals parameters and piping planned performance. The Fluid Sealing Association has collaborated extensively with HI to develop this new series and will jointly promote its benefits to the marketplace.”

The new series will begin Thursday, May 22, 2014 and continues on May 29, June 5, and June 12. Cost is just $299.00, with HI members receiving an additional 25% discount, along with attending earning four (4) PDH credits after the conclusion. HI also offers corporate group webinar site licensing for the lowest prices in training larger groups.

As this live, online series is only offered periodically through this year, the sign up deadline is noon on May 22, 2014.
