Hydraulic Institute Enters into Training Partner Agreement with ABB and Baldor Electric Company

16.04.2014

The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has entered a Training Partner Agreement with ABB, a leader in power and automation technologies and Baldor Electric Company, the leading North American manufacturer of industrial electric motors, drives and mechanical power transmission products.

Through this relationship, all three companies will broaden educational opportunities for pump end-users, distributors and consulting firms by developing high quality, co-branded educational and training programs and sponsoring technical webinars and e-learning courses focused on a variety of pump topics as well as host the expanded Pump Systems Optimization courses.

Allison Carroll, Baldor’s Industry Account Manager, Water and Wastewater, states, “By entering this new Training Partner Agreement with HI, we intend to extend our resources to further meet our customers’ needs for technical engineering-driven education programs focused on improving pump performance, extending product life cycles and understanding how drives and motors are integrated into this solution.”

As part of this new partnership, ABB and Baldor will host the highly regarded one-day Pump Systems Optimization course that is focused on reducing energy costs, maintenance and down time associated with pump operations. In addition to engineers, the course is recommended to Maintenance, Operations and Sales personnel involved with pump systems. End users as well as Engineering Consulting Firm employees taking the course will gain knowledge and credibility and will have the opportunity to network with others.

“By hosting a Pump Systems Optimization course and being a committed HI Training Partner in North America, ABB and Baldor are leading the way in helping pump end-users learn how to identify and reduce hidden operation and energy costs,” states Robert Asdal, Executive Director, Hydraulic Institute.
